D2L is 性视界传媒鈥檚 online learning platform. All courses use the D2L. Students will use D2L to access course materials, submit assignments, take quizzes, participate in discussions, view grades, and communicate with your instructors.

What do you need help with?
Once you have been admitted to the College, temporary login information is sent to the email address listed on your college application.
Once you register for classes, your Volmail email address, Username/Student ID & Password are sent to that same personal email. This will get you into all of the services listed below within 24 hours.
Emails are sent from HelpDesk@jalc.edu. Remember to check Junk Mail if you do not see that email (enter 鈥渇rom: jalc鈥� in the search box).
Courses will appear in D2L on the first scheduled day of class, unless the instructor opens the course early. If you do not see your course(s) by 8:00 AM on the first scheduled day, please contact d2lsupport@jalc.edu
Students may take a free orientation to online instruction. The orientation will help ensure that you understand the basics of utilizing the Learning Portal (D2L) at 性视界传媒.
The class is FREE. Upon successful completion of the orientation your instructors will be notified of your completion.
The orientation is completely online and can be completed from anywhere that has an Internet connection.
Most students should be able to complete the orientation in about three hours.
You will learn about Desire2Learn one of the College鈥檚 learning management system for online courses. You will also learn how accounts are created, how students are enrolled in a course site, how to log in to your class or classes, the requirements for email accounts, and the procedures for assignments and communicating with your instructor and fellow students.
You will learn what to do and who to contact if you have a technical problem while taking an online class.
To complete the orientation, you will have to complete several 鈥渁ssignments鈥� and pass a short test on the content covered in the course. You may review the orientation and take the quiz as many times as necessary to pass. If you fail the test the first time, just review the material and take the test again. While credit is given upon successful completion of the orientation, no failing grades are given.
YuJa Verity is 性视界传媒鈥檚 online proctoring solution for online courses. Verity integrates with D2L Brightspace to help maintain academic integrity during online assessments while allowing students to complete proctored exams from an appropriate testing location.
When acquiring assistance with your course, your first point of contact should be your instructor. Questions about course content should be directed to the instructor for that specific course.
